Pan American Riders is a company legally established in Colombia, registered with the Chamber of Commerce and the National Tourism Registry under RNT No. 209381. We operate as a travel agency specializing in guided motorcycle tours. Pan American Riders does not rent motorcycles. All motorcycles are exclusively used as part of guided tours organized by the company.

  1. REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE

To ensure safety and proper tour operation, all participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid motorcycle driving license for motorcycles of at least 500 cc. International tourists must present a valid license recognized in Colombia or an international driving permit.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have proven experience riding high displacement motorcycles. Tours may include technical roads, mountain terrain, and changing weather conditions.
  • Declare prior riding experience and accept the inherent risks of motorcycle touring by signing the required documents.
  • Follow all instructions given by the tour guide and Pan American Riders staff at all times.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in immediate cancellation of participation without refund.

  1. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS

To confirm a reservation, the following conditions apply:

  • One day tours require a reservation payment of 50 USD.
  • Multi day tours require a reservation payment of 500 USD.

The reservation payment is non refundable and will be deducted from the total tour price.

The remaining balance must be paid in full before the tour begins or on the first day of the tour.

All prices are displayed in USD for reference only. Payments are processed in Colombian pesos according to the exchange rate on the day of payment.

Payment methods accepted:

  • Cash
  • Credit or debit card subject to a 4 percent processing fee

Failure to complete payment before the tour start may result in cancellation without refund.

  1. SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit is mandatory prior to the start of the tour.

Deposit amounts:

  • One day tours: 1.000 USD
  • Multi day tours: 2.000 USD

The security deposit is governed by the Motorcycle Security Deposit and Responsibility Agreement, which must be signed by the participant before the tour.

The deposit is intended to cover motorcycle damages, traffic fines, penalties, or additional costs arising from the participant’s use of the motorcycle.

If damages exceed the deposit amount, the participant is responsible for the remaining balance.

Any unused portion of the deposit will be refunded after the motorcycle inspection. Refund processing times may take up to ten business days depending on the bank or card issuer.

  1. NATURE OF THE TOURS

Pan American Riders offers guided motorcycle tours tailored to each participant. While established routes exist, itineraries may be adjusted according to rider preferences, weather, road conditions, and safety considerations.

The motorcycle provided is not a rental vehicle. It is a means of transportation exclusively for participation in the guided tour.

  1. ITINERARY AND ROUTE MODIFICATIONS

Pan American Riders reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, or itineraries due to weather conditions, road conditions, traffic issues, mechanical concerns, or any situation affecting safety.

Such modifications do not entitle participants to refunds.

The tour leader has full authority to make decisions regarding route changes, early returns, or schedule adjustments to ensure safety.

  1. PARTICIPANT BEHAVIOR AND SAFETY

Participants must:

  • Follow all guide instructions and safety rules
  • Ride responsibly and within their skill level
  • Respect Colombian traffic laws

Pan American Riders reserves the right to immediately exclude any participant who behaves recklessly, fails to follow instructions, violates traffic laws, or poses a risk to themselves or others. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

  1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

Motorcycle touring involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Road conditions
  • Traffic and third party behavior
  • Mechanical issues
  • Natural hazards

By participating, each participant voluntarily assumes these risks and releases Pan American Riders from liability, except in cases of direct negligence under Colombian law.

  1. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FITNESS

Participants declare they are in suitable physical and mental condition to operate a motorcycle safely.

Any relevant medical conditions must be disclosed prior to the tour. Failure to disclose such conditions may result in removal from the tour without refund.

  1. INSURANCE

The motorcycle includes the mandatory Colombian insurance SOAT.

Pan American Riders does not provide comprehensive medical or travel insurance. Participants are strongly advised to obtain international travel medical insurance covering motorcycle activities, emergency care, evacuation, and repatriation.

Any costs not covered by insurance are the sole responsibility of the participant.

  1. PROTECTIVE GEAR
  • One day tours include basic protective gear subject to availability.
  • Multi day tours require participants to bring their own appropriate protective gear.

Use of protective gear is mandatory during the tour.

  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

Participant cancellation:

  • Cancellations made more than 15 days before the tour start date will be refunded excluding the non refundable reservation payment.
  • Cancellations within 15 days of the tour start date are non refundable.
  • No shows result in no refund.

Company cancellation:

  • Pan American Riders may cancel a tour due to force majeure or safety concerns. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
  • Refunds are processed within up to ten business days.
  1. USE OF IMAGES AND VIDEOS

Participants authorize Pan American Riders to use photos and videos taken during the tour for promotional and marketing purposes.

Participants who do not wish to appear in media must notify Pan American Riders in advance. Reasonable efforts will be made to respect this request.

  1. CONTRACTUAL DOCUMENTS

Before the start of the tour, all participants must sign:

  • Liability Waiver and Participation Conditions
  • Motorcycle Security Deposit and Responsibility Agreement

These documents form an integral part of the contractual relationship between the participant and Pan American Riders.

  1. LEGAL JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.

Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Manizales, Colombia.

The parties agree that any disputes related to the tours will be addressed under Colombian legal procedures. Efforts will be made to resolve conflicts amicably before resorting to legal action.
